Pattern & Fabric Giveaway…Courtesy of Sewbox

Have you got the winter blues?? This is my least favourite time of year. Wet, windy, dull, cold. Bleurgh!! About this time of year, every year, I hit a bit of a wall and start yearning for spring. A bit of blue sky and some sunshine, purleeeeeease! One of the few things that stops me from sinking into a complete funk at this time of year is getting my sewing fix. Even better, you guys have the chance to get your sewing fix for free! Gratis. Nada. ๐Ÿ™‚

The lovely peops at Sewbox are offering one lucky reader the chance to win a metre of fabric AND a pattern of their choice. Here are just a few ideas for boosting your transitional wardrobe….

Wide leg trousers and a softly tailored shirt for the office. A roomy tote bag and cosy cape to beat the winter chills. Or how about a cosy knit dress under a trench? My personal fave is the Melissa blouse by Papercut Patterns…(top middle)

Wouldn’t it look amazing in this John Kaldor crepe?

To enter simply hop on over to Sewbox, have a mooch around, then come back here and leave a comment telling me what you would choose if you won. Simple as that! Giveaway is open worldwide and closes on Sunday 9th Feb at Midnight GMT.

Ooo, I love the Liberty corduroy that sewbox sell. I’d get the Kingly Cord in Isla Rose (http://www.sewbox.co.uk/fabrics/cotton-fabrics/liberty-kingly-cord-lkc03270259d.html) and make a straight skirt to wear during this cold weather. And I’ve had the By Hand London Elisalex pattern on my To Buy list forever, so that would be my pattern pick.

Wow! This is wonderful!! January is hard but by February I am sooo DONE with winter.
The Colette Jasmine blouse is lovely, as is the Michael Miller ‘Aldo to Zippy turquoise’ fabric. Happy, happy, happy!

I have fallen in love with Liberty’s Queue for the Zoo. The giraffes are wearing boots. That is just too cute. Pattern wise I would love to have a go at sewing the Eliza dress from Eliza M. I love a sweetheart neckline.

Liberty Rossmore Cord – Betsy Ann is wonderful, bright and cheery, perfect for little girls dresses or grown up girls skirts. I adore the Eliza M patterns too – classic and hopefully not to difficult for a novice sewer.

Liberty tana lawn would be my first choice, like this one: http://www.sewbox.co.uk/fabrics/liberty-fabrics/liberty-tana-lawn-ltl0363038c.html. From the pattern section it would probably be a Papercut patterm, like the Undercover Hood or the Rigel Bomber.

mmm, just one of each? ๐Ÿ™‚

I would pick the Melissa blouse (papercut patterns), using Liberty Lifestyle, Bloomsbury Collection, Woolf (Colourway E). I think the graphic pattern would look great with the blouse!

    Great giveaway btw!

Ah I could spend so long browsing Sewbox! So hard to choose…I would go for the Bellatrix blazer by Papercut patterns because I’ve not yet made up any of their patterns and I think it’s about time I gave them a go! And for the fabric, it’s got to be one of the gorgeous Liberty Tana Lawns, I’d pick Meadow I think, I love the retro vibe and those flowers should be enough to blow the cold grey February days away!

Well I L-o-v-e winter especialy after the hot and hummid Middle East summer, winter is always a freshness in the morning and the cosiness of the bed in the nights :). How is it possible to choose only one pattern? I want it all ๐Ÿ˜‰ . Well I would definitely choose the Anna dress by BHL because everybody already has at least one Anna and I can’t afford the price and the shipment ( not to mention the fabric will be spectacular with the Anna). Thank you for sharing such wonderful giveaway!

If I had the choice – although sooo difficult – I’d go for the Sewaholic Thurlow Trousers and Shorts pattern and any, yes any, I just wouldn’t care, Liberty fabric. Of course, I wouldn’t make the trousers from the Liberty fabric but I would like to have a go at making some as I never have before.
Thank you Miss P. and Sewbox.

I’d pick a Papercut Pattern, either the Sigme dress or Ennis tee. And for the fabric, I’d choose a metre of the Zoo print Liberty lawn so I could make a sweet little dress for my sweet little niece.

Ooh – I’d pick the Sewaholic Renfrew pattern and the Liberty Kingly Cord in Rosy. I know the two wouldn’t go together but I’m nervous of sewing with knits and I’ve heard lots of good things about the Renfrew pattern and my daughter is called Rosie so I just know she’d love a skirt made with fabric named after her!
